Once again, we are in the middle of another exciting and cultural event in Copenhagen City. Cph Art Week 2015 is already up running, and from 21st to 30th August you can explore plenty of activities, showrooms, workshops, performances and exhibitions in the City.
In this review we have chosen to explore an unknown and mysthical place in Copenhagen, Cisterns located in Søndermarken Park. The Cisterns is one of the institutions participating in the art scene, a 4.320 square meter ideal underground space installed with a contemporary sound and light installation.
The current exhibition, “H”, in Cisterns curated by the great artist Ingvar Cronhammar, is an installation created from its unique environment. This Industrial and underground space is turning into a sensual light parcours with an extremely attuned sound installation.
The light is guiding us through this mhystical space with a large water surface that covers the floors, and 28 columns of falling water . You would love to leap in to the extremely calmed water floor and be able to touch it. The water floor comes across a fantastic musical sound experience, created by Martin Hall. Our five senses are all in tact, and we let us get carried away over the shiny walkway deeper into the unconscious.
We highly encourage you to explore this fantastic space and art installation, placed in the in Søndermarken – The exhibition will be open until the November 29th 2015.
